In 2015, Freya Hohnen first produced her now classic Margaret River Chardonnay. Ever since, she’s been expanding her repertoire and quietly building a reputation as a talented, down-to-earth winemaker. The Once & Well collection of wines are available exclusively at selected Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores.
The wines
Freya’s Once & Well wines are grown in ancient granite-based soils. They are wines of place, expressing the essence of Margaret River, with fruit sourced from sites across the region.
Margaret River like no other
From its earliest plantings, that south west corner of our vast island continent we call Margaret River showed it could make wines to rival the best in the world. Sitting at the confluence of the Indian Ocean and the Great Southern Ocean, it has a perfectly balanced climate.
